Cat Food Recipe: Organic Wild Salmon & Steamed Pumpkin

The Hydration Ritual

Wild Salmon & Steamed Pumpkin - Home Made Human Grade Cat Food

In the quiet of the morning, the ritual of the bowl is as sacred as the ritual of the cup. For the feline, nutrition is not just fuel; it is a sensory experience that grounds them in their habitat. This recipe focuses on the "Melt Point"—where high-moisture wild salmon meets the digestive softness of organic pumpkin.

We’ve curated this recipe to prioritize biological relevance. Wild-caught salmon provides the essential Omega-3 fatty acids required for a lustrous coat—the feline equivalent of our own heavyweight cotton's sheen. Pumpkin acts as a structural fiber, ensuring a gentle internal rhythm.

RECIPE

yield: 4 servings, approx. 70g each

prep time: 15 minutes

cook time: 10 minutes

resting time: 5 minutes ( to reach room temperature)

INGREDIENTS

200g wild-caught salmon: Skinless and boneless for pure protein.

50g organic pumpkin puree: Pure, unseasoned, and velvet-smooth.

1/4 tsp steamed kelp powder: For trace mineral complexity.

30ml purified water: To deepen the hydration.

Technical Notes: This arrangement is designed for fresh consumption. Given the absence of industrial preservatives, it should be served within the hour or refrigerated in a glass vessel for no longer than 48 hours.

DIRECTIONS

1. steam: Gently steam the salmon until the flesh flakes under a fork. This preserves the delicate oils that higher heat might destroy.

2. base: Whisk the pumpkin puree with your purified water until it reaches a "butter-like" consistency.

3. fold: Gently flake the salmon into the puree. Use a folding motion to maintain texture, ensuring the arrangement is interesting to the palate.

4. present & serve: Serve at room temperature in a low-profile ceramic vessel to prevent whisker fatigue.

At Nibble & Nest, we believe the care you put into their bowl should match the quality of the clothes you wear while serving it. It is a shared standard of excellence.
